Tesla on September 14, 2026, amplified an owner account of using Grok voice commands with Full Self-Driving Supervised to run an ATM errand and then return home without touching the steering wheel, writing that “FSD Supervised w/ Grok is a lot like having your own Robotaxi.”
The official @Tesla account quoted Whole Mars Catalog (@wholemars), who described getting into his Tesla, saying “Hey Grok, take me to the ATM,” watching the car navigate and park in front of the machine, then saying “Hey Grok, take me home” for a driveway park. He finished the trip without touching the wheel at all and compared the feel to a Cybercab helping with errands while only using the screen, adding that he now wants a version with the controls removed.
The post is useful for owners watching how cabin AI and supervised autonomy are starting to merge in daily driving. Separately today, Tesla’s Model Y owner’s manual added text messaging under Grok’s Assistant personality, another sign the company is documenting voice jobs beyond navigation chatter.
Tesla did not name a software build or a timeline for removing steering controls from customer cars in the September 14 posts. The near-term signal for readers is simpler: the company is willing to put its own stamp on a concrete Hey Grok destination ride and frame supervised FSD plus cabin Grok as the owner-car version of Robotaxi convenience.
