Tesla Japan opened its Cybercab Japan Tour on September 11, 2026, putting the steering-wheel-free two-seater on public display for the first time in the country at OMAKASE Aoyama Garden by GMO in Tokyo’s Minato ward, the company said in a fresh X post that also published opening hours for the full four-stop run.
“Cybercab, designed from the ground up for unsupervised taxi use with no steering wheel or pedals, makes its Japan premiere,” Tesla’s Japan account wrote, linking the event page. Tokyo Aoyama runs 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. through September 14, with September 11 alone starting at noon. Osaka at Tesla Grand Front Osaka follows September 17 to 20 (11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.), Nagoya at Tesla Nagoya Noritake September 22 to 23 (10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.), and Tokyo Shinjuku September 26 to 28 (10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.). Visitors can also see Japan Model 3 and Model Y inventory at the same venues.
Nothing in the Japan materials frames this as a Robotaxi launch, test rides, or Cybercab sales locally. It is a static display after public Cybercab rides opened in Austin and after the site already logged the September schedule announcement. Tesla’s press release still describes a purpose-built unsupervised Robotaxi vehicle with butterfly doors and what Tesla calls its largest center touchscreen yet, with U.S. production already underway for fleet use.
Day one in Aoyama is the first concrete public look at Cybercab on Japanese soil, with three more cities still on the calendar through late September.
