Starlink said on September 8, 2026, that it will provide 6,000 kits to rural schools in Argentina under an agreement with the country’s Ministerio de Capital Humano and regulator ENACOM, aiming to give thousands of students and teachers fast, reliable internet in communities that have long been hard to reach by fiber.
The official account wrote that teachers will be able to build lesson plans with digital resources while students join online classes and use digital tools that were previously out of reach in remote classrooms. Argentinas Human Capital Ministry said Minister Sandra Pettovello signed the convenio among Capital Humano, ENACOM, and Starlink to connect rural schools and isolated communities, with Starlink installing the 6,000 kits for high-speed service.
The government post framed the deal as a way to close the connectivity gap for colegios rurales and zonas aisladas, pairing a national education push with satellite broadband where terrestrial networks are thin. Starlink quoted that announcement when it confirmed the kit count and the classroom use cases in English for a global audience.
Connectivity projects like this sit alongside other recent Starlink expansions, from cabin Wi-Fi going live on Austrian Airlines to residential service turning on in the United Arab Emirates and Starlink Mobile launching in Costa Rica. School kits are a different beat than airline or consumer launches, but they point to the same pattern: official partners naming concrete unit counts and places where Starlink is meant to land next.
