Starlink
Starlink said on September 3 that its high-speed, low-latency internet is now available in the United Arab Emirates, pointing customers to starlink.com/unitedarabemirates six days after Abu Dhabi issued a 10-year public-network licence.
The official account posted a night shot of a Standard dish on a rooftop with a UAE flag and the line that the service is live, not a teaser. That follows the August 28 General Satellite Services Licence from the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority, which let Starlink sell satellite broadband as a regulated public network rather than a maritime-only add-on. Starlink did not repeat hardware or monthly prices in today’s post, and it did not say every emirate is at full capacity.
The company has been selling kits into Gulf aviation and education deals for months, but residential orders still hang on the country page and the local map. Today’s drop is the consumer switch-on after the licence paper, and Starlink did not put a waitlist warning in the announcement.
