Elon Musk said Cybercab riders will be able to plug in a PlayStation or Xbox, answering Tesla’s own pitch that the purpose-built robotaxi is built for theater, music, and gaming on a 22-inch touchscreen.
Musk was replying to an official Tesla post that framed Cybercab as safer transport that also gives passengers time back, with cabin apps for work or downtime. That same post said Cybercab will soon carry V5 Starlink hardware for connectivity while the vehicle drives itself.
The console line matters because Cybercab has no steering wheel or pedals, so the cabin experience is the product once the ride is booked. Tesla’s Cybercab Rider Guide already leans on the central touchscreen for trip controls, and public Austin rides opened this week after the September 3 launch, later moved up to 2:00 p.m. Central Time.
Musk did not say when the PlayStation or Xbox plug-in ships, which ports Cybercab will support, or whether it lands with the Starlink V5 hardware. Still, pairing external consoles with a big in-cabin screen and satellite connectivity points at overnight and long-trip use cases Tesla has been teasing as Robotaxi hours expand, including talk of around-the-clock service once more v15 tech merges.
