Tesla Energy said on September 4, 2026 that the three-phase Powerwall 3P is now available to order in Portugal, extending the European rollout that started in Germany and later reached the Netherlands.
The Powerwall 3P pairs a 13.5 kWh home battery with a hybrid inverter built for Europe’s three-phase grids, rated for up to 15.4 kW continuous and 21 kW peak, and includes Tesla Home. That design is meant to replace the older workaround of stacking three single-phase units so a household can back up all three phases from one box, the same pitch Tesla used when it introduced the 3P earlier this year.
Germany was the first market, with order availability around April 23, 2026 after a Gigafactory Berlin launch that Tesla framed as covering most German homes with a single three-phase unit. Installer roadshows and distributor lists later put the Netherlands on the order map in August 2026 alongside Germany, and today’s Tesla Energy post adds Portugal to that confirmed list without naming further retail markets.
Portugal’s three-phase residential wiring is a natural fit for the product Tesla already tuned for European homes, and the company is still pushing Powerwall installations after the global fleet crossed one million units. Order pages and certified installer routing will decide how fast Portuguese customers can book installs; Tesla Energy’s September 4 post is the official green light that the 3P is open to order there now.
