The Tesla Model Y is Europe’s best-selling electric vehicle through the first seven months of 2026, with 115,957 registrations, Tesla Senior Sales Advisor Philip Powers said on August 26, citing Dataforce.
That volume is up 55 percent from the same stretch of 2025 and puts the Model Y fifth among all cars in Europe, not only EVs. Dataforce still has the Dacia Sandero first year to date with 132,998 registrations. The Škoda Elroq is the next battery-electric model, at 67,760.
After topping Europe in June with 32,685 cars, the Model Y fell to 5,138 registrations and 73rd place in July, L’Automobile Magazine reported from the same Dataforce file. Tesla has long bunched deliveries at the end of a quarter, and the same swing showed up last year when the Model Y slipped to 60th in July before reclaiming first in September.
Cheaper European trims are doing some of the lifting on that year-to-date jump. Tesla added a longer-range Model Y Standard in Europe this year after Gigafactory Berlin started building the entry trim last fall. The part that holds is the seven-month lead: 115,957 cars, first among EVs, and a 55 percent rise even after a thin July.
