Tesla VP Teases “Cool News” Regarding Giga Texas Expansion on July 7
Tesla is preparing to share fresh updates regarding its manufacturing operations in Austin, Texas, next week.
During an interview with content creators Jeff Lutz and Herbert Ong, Tesla Vice President of Vehicle Engineering Lars Moravy revealed that the company will announce significant developments on Tuesday, July 7. Moravy noted that the upcoming announcement will focus on “cool news about things happening around Giga Texas as part of the scaling effort.”
The teaser arrives as activity at the Austin facility noticeably intensifies. Giga Texas, which serves as the production hub for the Cybertruck, has recently accelerated its manufacturing footprint to ramp up production of the Cybercab robotaxi.
The momentum coincides with fresh regulatory movement in the state. The Texas Department of Public Safety recently added the Tesla Cybercab to its official web page for first responder interaction plans for connected autonomous vehicles, indicating that real-world testing and deployment phases are progressing rapidly.
A full broadcast of the executive interview, which is expected to cover multiple operational updates regarding the Texas factory, is scheduled for release on June 30.
