Tesla Hits 10,000th Customer Milestone in Singapore

Tesla has officially hit a major milestone in Singapore, delivering its 10,000th vehicle this week. The landmark achievement highlights the brand’s rapid ascent in a market known for having some of the highest car ownership costs in the world.

Tesla’s journey in Singapore began in early 2021, marking a dramatic return after Elon Musk previously criticized the country’s government for being “unsupportive” of electric vehicles. Since then, a shift in government policy—including aggressive rebates under the Electric Vehicle Early Adoption Incentive (EEAI) and the Vehicular Emissions Scheme (VES)—has helped Tesla dominate the premium BEV segment.

Tesla Singapore Pricing (April 2026)

Buying a Tesla in Singapore remains a luxury experience due to the high cost of the Certificate of Entitlement (COE). Currently, the Model 3 and Model Y Premium RWD 110 variants qualify for the more affordable Category A COE, making them significantly more competitive.

Model & Variant COE Category Est. Price (Incl. COE & Rebates)
Model 3 Premium RWD 110 Cat A $187,999
Model 3 Long Range RWD Cat B $213,888
Model Y Premium RWD 110 Cat A $214,999
Model Y Long Range AWD Cat B $241,656
Model Y L (Long Wheelbase) Cat B $254,999

The recent addition of the stretched six-seater Model Y L has been a major driver for this 10,000-unit push. This variant was designed specifically to cater to larger families in the region who need more utility than a standard five-seater crossover offers.

Despite the high price tags, Tesla continues to hold a strong market share in Singapore, frequently battling BYD for the top spot in monthly electric vehicle registrations. With 10,000 cars now on the road, Tesla’s Supercharger network has also reached a critical mass across the island, ensuring the infrastructure keeps pace with the growing fleet.
