Tesla FSD v14.3.1 Rolls Out with Improved Parking UI and Highway Fixes

Tesla has begun rolling out Full Self-Driving (FSD) v14.3.1 (via software version 2026.2.9.7), a targeted point release that builds on the major architectural changes introduced just over a week ago (Tesla AI team is working overtime yet again). While the formal release notes remain identical to v14.3, early data and driver reports reveal critical refinements to the user experience.

The most notable change in v14.3.1 is an update to the parking interface. Tapping the small arrow within the parking UI now directly opens the parking options menu, streamlining the workflow for drivers using FSD to handle end-of-trip maneuvers. This follows the broader v14.3 improvements, which included more decisive parking spot selection and a new “P” icon pin on the map.

Highway Exit Performance

The core of the v14.3 branch remains the ground-up rewrite of the AI compiler and runtime using MLIR, which Tesla claims provides a 20% faster reaction time. Owners who have spent the last week testing the software on highways describe the performance as pretty good.

The update has reportedly solved a long-standing phantom lane-change issue where previous versions would hesitate or move too late for exits. The car now consistently initiates its move to the right-hand lane exactly 2.5 miles before an exit. Testers note this change has virtually eliminated the stressful last-second scramble across multiple lanes of traffic (there’s nothing like being a FSD jerk and cutting someone off to take an exit).

While the software is being praised for its human-like acceleration and deceleration, some drivers continue to report extreme sensitivity in complex urban environments. However, the general consensus among the early fleet is that v14.3.1 is the most stable and confident version of FSD to date.
