Tesla has quietly expanded its U.S. leasing lineup, making its most affordable vehicles even more accessible. As of today, leasing is now available on the new Model 3 Standard and Model Y Standard, marking the first time Tesla’s entry-level trims can be leased.

Pricing starts at $449 per month for the Model 3 Standard and $479 per month for the Model Y Standard. Both figures are based on a $3,000 down payment, a 36-month term, and 10,000 miles per year. Until now, leasing was limited to the Premium (formerly Long Range) and Performance variants, making this a notable shift for buyers who want lower monthly payments without committing to ownership. The lineup expansion comes after Tesla hiked lease pricing for higher Model 3 and Model Y trims last week.

Tesla first debuted the Model 3 Standard and Model Y Standard in the U.S. back in October, positioning them as value-focused trims that snip some premium features while retaining strong fundamentals. Despite their lower price point, neither model compromises much on range. In fact, recent real-world tests showed Tesla’s cheapest Model 3 beat its EPA range estimate, while the Model Y Standard posted the best results of any Model Y ever, reinforcing Tesla’s efficiency advantage.

At the same time, Tesla has also opened leasing for the refreshed Model Y Performance. That model now starts at $799 per month under the same lease terms. The Model Y Performance remains the brand’s quickest non-Plaid SUV, with a 0–60 mph time of just 3.3 seconds, a 155 mph top speed, and an EPA-estimated 306 miles of range.

The updated Performance trim brings notable upgrades, including redesigned front and rear fascias, a carbon fiber spoiler, and new staggered 21-inch Arachnid wheels. Inside, Tesla has added sport seats with heating and ventilation up front, power-reclining heated rear seats, improved bolstering with powered thigh support, and better cabin insulation with acoustic glass. Adaptive damping, new drive modes, and higher-capacity battery cells round out the refresh.

With leasing now available across Standard, Premium, and Performance trims, Tesla is clearly widening the funnel for shoppers who want flexibility, lower upfront costs, and access to its latest vehicles.

Why would you want a ugly Tesla sitting outside of your house. Especially with all the damage Elon in doge caused in the state's and abroad?
