Tesla has started rolling out its latest software update, version 2025.38.8.5, bringing Full Self-Driving (Supervised) version 14.1.5 to Cybertruck owners. The update began hitting customer vehicles on Sunday evening, according to Tesla’s lead Cybertruck engineer, Wes Morrill, who confirmed the deployment on X.
Tesla AI chief Ashok Elluswamy said last month that the Cybertruck would gain complete Full Self-Driving (Supervised) functionality with version 14, including the ability to reverse, park itself, and perform other advanced maneuvers. At the time, Elluswamy said the rollout would arrive in late October. While it was delayed by a few days, the update is now officially making its way to customers.
“Sorry, pushing for early access cyber release over the weekend,” Elluswamy wrote in an update on X over the weekend. Morrill responded to the post on Monday, saying the update “arrived last night.”
Full Self-Driving (Supervised) version 14 was first introduced last month, delivering the most significant overhaul to Tesla’s driver-assistance system since V12. The update introduced new Arrival Options, allowing drivers to specify where FSD should park at the destination — in a driveway, garage, or curbside — along with major improvements to emergency vehicle handling, navigation, and real-time detour routing. It also brought general driving performance and smoothness enhancements, plus new “Mad Max” and “Sloth” speed profiles for more personalized behavior.
Tesla continues to build on its FSD ecosystem. The company recently confirmed that an FSD subscription gifting option will launch before the holidays, allowing owners to buy subscriptions for other Tesla drivers.
With version 14 now landing on Cybertrucks, Tesla’s angular pickup is finally joining the rest of the fleet in gaining the company’s most advanced FSD functionality yet.
