Tesla Begins Deliveries of Refreshed Model Y Performance

Tesla has started outbound deliveries of the refreshed Model Y Performance, according to the company’s official Tesla Manufacturing account (@gigafactories) on X. The milestone comes less than two weeks after production of the upgraded Performance variant began at Giga Berlin.

The refreshed Model Y Performance, which launched in Europe late last month, brings notable upgrades across performance, comfort, and technology. With a 0–60 mph time of just 3.3 seconds — slightly quicker than the outgoing model’s 3.5 seconds — the new Performance trim offers up to 308 miles of range (EPA cycle estimate). That figure is only about 1% lower than the Long Range variant, thanks in part to Tesla’s new high-density battery cells.

Exterior changes include redesigned front and rear fascias, a carbon fiber spoiler, and staggered wheels and tires that improve grip and cornering. A new adaptive damping suspension system dynamically adjusts to road conditions, while upgraded brakes and dedicated drive modes add capability at higher speeds.

Inside, Tesla has fitted ventilated and heated sport seats with extended bolstering and thigh support in the front, along with perforated, heated, power-reclining seats for the second row. The cabin is quieter as well, thanks to new acoustic glass and enhanced sound-damping materials. A 16-inch QHD central touchscreen — Tesla’s highest-resolution display yet — anchors the dashboard, while subtle ambient lighting elevates the interior.

The refreshed Model Y Performance is currently only available in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, with deliveries set to ramp up over the coming weeks. There’s still no word on when Tesla plans to introduce the new Performance trim of its best-selling electric SUV in North America.

The start of deliveries could help Tesla reignite demand in Europe, where sales have slowed in recent quarters. Giga Berlin recently hit a production milestone of 100,000 refreshed base Model Y units, signaling strong output as Tesla looks to regain momentum.
