Tesla has officially brought the refreshed Model Y Performance to Australia and New Zealand, less than two weeks after debuting the upgraded performance SUV in Europe.
In Australia, the new Model Y Performance starts at $89,400 AUD (around $58,350 USD), while in New Zealand it begins at $100,900 NZD (roughly $59,100 USD). You can now order the Model Y Performance in both countries through Tesla’s online configurator. Deliveries are slated to begin in December 2025.
Tesla first unveiled the refreshed Model Y Performance in Europe at the end of August, and production recently began at the company’s Giga Berlin factory in Germany. The facility, which last month also celebrated building its 100,000th refreshed base Model Y, has become the hub for Tesla’s latest design updates.
The new Model Y Performance boasts a 0–60 mph time of 3.3 seconds, a slight bump in speed compared to the outgoing model, while offering an estimated 308 miles of EPA-estimated range. Updates include redesigned front and rear fascias, a carbon fiber rear spoiler, and staggered wheels and tires for sharper steering and improved grip. Tesla has also added adaptive damping for more responsive handling and high-performance brakes for improved stopping power.

Inside, the cabin features ventilated and heated sport seats with added bolstering, while second-row passengers get perforated, heated, and power-reclining seats. Tesla has also introduced its highest-resolution 16-inch QHD central touchscreen, upgraded soundproofing, and ambient lighting to elevate comfort.
The launch of the new Model Y Performance in Australia and New Zealand comes amid strong demand for Tesla’s SUVs in both countries. However, there is still no word on when the refreshed Performance variant could arrive in the U.S.
With expanded availability now reaching into Oceania, Tesla appears committed to pushing its refreshed lineup to more markets before year’s end.
