Tesla officially opened its new sales, service, and distribution centre in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, this weekend, marking its largest facility of its kind in Western Canada.
Photos shared on Reddit showed crowds of Tesla owners, potential buyers, and enthusiasts gathering at the new location for the grand opening celebration. Tesla hosted a community-style event with music, snacks, and giveaways, complete with a DJ on site. Plenty of Tesla vehicles, including Cybertrucks, were also on display, drawing plenty of attention.

According to commenters, Tesla has been sending email invitations for these types of launch events to customers in nearby regions. The openings typically feature food, music, and Tesla swag, offering a way for the company to connect directly with its growing customer base.
The new Port Coquitlam facility highlights Tesla’s expanding presence in British Columbia, as demand for EVs in the province continues to surge. This comes at a time when the company has been aggressively pushing new incentives and pricing in Canada.
Last month, Tesla slashed the price of the Model Y Long Range All-Wheel Drive by $20,000 CAD. Earlier this month, the automaker launched a limited-time promotion offering free lifetime Supercharging on all Model 3 inventory orders in the country. Just last week, Tesla also introduced monthly extended warranty subscriptions for Canadian customers.
With this new flagship center, Tesla owners in B.C. can expect expanded sales and service capacity, while potential buyers get more opportunities to explore the automaker’s growing lineup of vehicles up close.
