Tesla has launched a new promotion in Canada that gives anyone purchasing a new Model 3 from inventory free lifetime Supercharging. Announced on X by Tesla North America, the offer applies to all new Model 3 inventory vehicles purchased in Canada and even extends to charging sessions outside the country — perfect for road trips into the U.S. or beyond.
Tesla North America’s post framed it as “unlimited road trips through Canada,” but confirmed that Canadian buyers will enjoy the same benefit when using Superchargers internationally. While Tesla hasn’t specified, past similar promotions have been tied to the original buyer’s Tesla account and vehicle, meaning the perk likely won’t transfer if the car is sold or traded in.
The offer comes just months after Tesla reintroduced free lifetime Supercharging for new Model S buyers and lessees in the U.S. late last year. That move, like this one, tapped into the allure of unlimited long-distance travel at no extra cost.
Tesla’s Supercharger network remains the largest and most reliable DC fast-charging system in the world, with thousands of stations across North America. Earlier this week, Tesla CEO Elon Musk even teased that an automatic parking feature for Superchargers could arrive in future software updates, making the charging experience even more seamless.
Meanwhile, in the U.S., Tesla employee Raj Jegannathan responded to news of the Canadian promotion by cautioning that Model 3 incentives south of the border will disappear “very soon.” This comes as Tesla caters to a surge in orders ahead of the $7,500 federal EV tax credit’s scheduled expiration on September 30, 2025. For Canadian buyers, however, now may be the perfect time to secure both a new Model 3 and the rare perk of free charging for life.
