Tesla North America shared off one of its most advanced manufacturing features: new vehicles that drive themselves off the assembly line. We’ve seen a teaser below, but now we have a closer look from inside the factory.

“We make the most American-made cars that drive themselves from the end of the production line to the outbound logistics lot — and then continue to drive themselves anywhere you want under your supervision,” Tesla wrote on X.

To demonstrate, Tesla shared a behind-the-scenes tour clip featuring Lara Trump (daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump) on Fox News, filmed inside the company’s Giga Texas factory. The video shows newly built Model Y vehicles rolling off the production line and autonomously driving to the parking lot with no one inside.

“That’s amazing. Nobody’s in there. That is so cool,” Trump said in the segment, which aired as part of her series My View.

Trump also toured the Cybertruck line and spoke with Tesla employees about the company’s in-house manufacturing process. The segment highlighted Tesla’s clean factory floors, vertically integrated production model, and automated assembly tools.

A Tesla employee explained the cars perform final maneuvers on their own: “They drive themselves from the end of the production line over to the lot.”

Tesla says its goal is to streamline production while keeping workers engaged in high-quality environments. A company representative summed up the culture simply: “Happy people build cars and trucks.”
