Tesla’s Cybertruck Tunnel at Giga Texas Looks Badass, Nearly Complete [VIDEO]

In a cold start to January 2025, Tesla’s Giga Texas plant is buzzing with activity, according to the latest drone flyover from Joe Tegtmeyer shared today.

Key highlights include ongoing testing of the Cybercab—performing simulated passenger pickups and drop-offs—accompanied by a Model 3 equipped with advanced sensors for data collection.

Meanwhile, the Cybertruck remains a focal point as testing continues in the “Cyber Tunnel,” a structure styled to resemble the truck itself. Crews are also installing stainless steel panels on the tunnel’s exterior, with Cybertrucks seen moving in and out during these preparations.

The premise of the tunnel? It looks badass as it is shaped like a Cybertruck, and the premise is that manufactured Cybertrucks will drive themselves off the assembly line and into an exterior parking lot. Now that would be taking automation to another level.

On the construction front, workers are advancing projects across the factory. Updates include new installations on the parking garage, a façade adjustment to enhance the factory’s aesthetic, and the finalization of a weatherproof roof membrane to address past issues.

Looking ahead, the Giga Texas team is set to transition to producing updated versions of the Model Y while maintaining a steady mix of Model Ys and Cybertrucks in their production and testing facilities.
