Tesla has announced a price reduction for its CCS Combo 1 Adapter and retrofit services, expanding fast-charging options for its vehicles at third-party charging stations.
The CCS Combo 1 Adapter is now priced at $125 USD, down from $250 USD in September 2022, and $175 CAD in Canada, reduced from $325 CAD.
Tesla has also adjusted pricing for its retrofitting services. The Model S/X retrofit with the adapter is now $300 USD or $415 CAD, while the Model 3/Y retrofit with the adapter is available for $225 USD or $310 CAD. The adapter supports charging speeds of up to 250 kW, although most third-party stations may not reach these rates.
Tesla owners can check their vehicle’s compatibility and schedule a service retrofit via the Tesla app. The service visit includes installation at a Tesla Service Center and one CCS Combo 1 Adapter. The adapter is not compatible with the Cybertruck, and some vehicles may require additional hardware.
