
Tesla is set to build yet another massive Supercharger site, this time setting a new record for the world’s largest.
That’s according to a discovery by Supercharger sleuth MarcoRP (@MarcoRPi) on Saturday. He says Tesla is set to construct the largest Supercharger site globally in Yeehaw Junction, Florida.
Tesla has submitted plans for a “Mega Site” at Exit 193 of the Florida Turnpike. This huge project will see 200 Supercharger stalls, including 160 Prefabricated Supercharger Unit (PSU) stalls and 40 standalone stalls, with 8 of these designated for trailers. The prefab stalls come pre-made from Tesla, with stalls already sitting on concrete slabs.
Back in February, MarcoRP revealed Tesla was planning a 164-stall Supercharger site in Kern County, California, which at the time would be the world’s largest Supercharger site. But this new Yeehaw Junction site in Florida looks to take the new title, once complete.
The current site with the most Superchargers today is at Harris Ranch in California, with 98 stalls available.
