Tesla has announced it will increase the price of its Model Y in Canada, beginning on March 15, 2024.
According to a headline ticker on its website, Tesla says “Price Increase” and mentions, “New Model Y RWD and Long Range AWD prices will increase by $1,000 on March 15, 2024.”
The RWD and Long Range Model Y qualify for Canada’s $5,000 iZEV rebate and also other provincial rebates, making it an attractive option for those jumping into their first electric vehicle.
When the price changes arrive on March 15, the RWD will cost $54,990 and the Long Range will be at $64,990. By tossing in a date for the price change, Tesla is essentially enticing owners on the fence to take delivery to save $1,000.
