Tesla Cybertruck Hits Beverly Hills Hotel Sign; Wasn’t the Valet
A Tesla Cybertruck crashed into the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel sign on early Monday, and it was falsely claimed that it had been the valet that crashed it.
But that was totally false, as one can never truly believe what is shared on the internet. User @jackdidthatt said, “@elonmusk the beverly hills hotel valet just crashed my friends brand new cybertruck outside pulling it around!! Can you help out in getting another??”.
But after a short while, the truth started to come out that it was actually the owner that crashed the Cybertruck, and the “valet” story was just made up as a joke.
The truth is SO important, and I want to make sure I always share it.
I received a message this morning letting me know that the crashed Cybertruck at the Beverly Hills Hotel was NOT driven by the valet. While I can't completely verify the message received, there's now been… pic.twitter.com/zjcQBhELQl

I'm told this was not the fault of the valet at all. It was the owner of the truck that was driving. https://t.co/NT5vN5Lllu

@jackdidthatt later confirmed, “This is true, incident happened around 2am and I drafted up this joke of a tweet with employees of the valet and hotel. Not thinking it would blow up, we thought it would be funny to say it was valet and not our friend who just crashed his new cybertruck… BHH is not at fault!”.
That new Cybertruck owner must feel horrible for not only destroying their new truck, but also crashing into the Beverly Hills Hotel sign.
So there you have it folks—don’t run with headlines and a story until you get the facts. Being ‘first’ can be a bad thing as it provided unintended consequences on the hotel’s hired valet company. The original post on X has not been deleted yet, but it did receive a Community Note.
