Tesla Cuts Model Y Prices in Europe, Offers 0% Interest in Germany
Tesla has announced significant price cuts for its Model Y vehicles in Germany, with reductions up to €5,000 (via @Tslachan).
The new prices are as follows: Model Y RWD is now priced at €42,990 (previously €44,890), Model Y Long Range at €49,990 (down from €54,990), and Model Y Performance at €55,990 (reduced from €60,990).
In addition to the price reduction, Tesla is offering a 0% interest rate financing and lease option in Germany. This offer, provided by Santander Consumer Bank AG, applies to the Tesla Model Y Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive.
It includes a monthly rate of €318, an initial down payment of €8,500, and a final rate of €23,700. The total loan amount is €50,970, with a loan term of 60 months. This special interest rate is available for financing applications received from January 17, 2024, and for vehicles delivered by March 31, 2024. The offer is subject to availability and credit approval.
Furthermore, Tesla has also reduced the price of the Model Y in Italy. The list price has been lowered to €42,690 from €46,990, bringing it under the threshold for a €3,000 state bonus. With this reduction, the effective price becomes €39,690.
Poland also saw a Model Y price cut as well and Sweden.
Tesla announced today, “Model Y is more affordable across a number of European countries.”
Tesla manufactures its Model Y for Europe at Giga Berlin and also exports some from Giga Shanghai. A refresh for the Model Y is expected to come at some point, following the footsteps of the updated Model 3.
