Here’s Tesla’s Cybertruck Front Camera Washer in Action
Tesla’s Cybertruck has started delivering for select customers and now we’re seeing the new front bumper camera’s washer feature in action.
With the location in the lower front bumper, it’s clear the front camera will get dirt, debris and bugs on it. This front camera is crucial for Autopilot, Full Self-Driving and also Tesla’s safety systems. It’s clear that adding a front washer is critical.
Below are two videos of the washer for the front camera in action. We can see a jet of water (looks like windshield washer fluid) sprays down to clean the exterior camera lens from TesBros:

The washer can be activated in camera view inside the Cybertruck. There’s an icon in the bottom left corner and when tapped, the Cybertruck will squirt itself, washing the front camera, according to Tesla Raj:

Tesla’s Model 3 ‘Highland’ was seen with a front bumper camera in some marketing images. It’s likely that future Tesla vehicles with front cameras in the bumper would also get this washer feature.
While a washer for the front camera is awesome, a washer for the rear camera on vehicles such as the Model Y is needed as well during inclement weather.
