Tesla recently held a media event in Australia, unveiling the updated 2024 Model 3 ‘Highland’, which introduces several significant enhancements and design changes.

The event saw media invited including Tesla Tom from Ludicrous Feed, who offered an extensive walkaround of the new Model 3 variants, highlighting the advancements Tesla has made in its popular electric vehicle model.

One of the notable updates in the 2024 Model 3 is the introduction of new colors, including Ultra Red and Stealth Gray, adding to the aesthetic appeal of the vehicle. Tesla has also focused on improving the aerodynamics of the car, achieving a lower drag coefficient of 0.219. This improvement is attributed to a redesigned front, hood, and enhanced airflow features. Additionally, the wheel design has been upgraded with the introduction of Photon wheel covers and 19-inch Photon wheels, available for different models.

The interior of the 2024 Model 3 has undergone a complete overhaul, featuring new materials, a new vent system, and an overall more premium feel. This redesign extends to the comfort features, with both front and rear seats now ventilated, enhancing passenger comfort. The doors have been redesigned for a stiffer close, which not only improves the feel but also enhances safety. Furthermore, the safety features have been bolstered with the addition of a safety latch for side impact protection.

In terms of technology, the new Model 3 is equipped with upgraded cameras and hardware, supporting the latest version of Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) system. The front and rear lights have been redesigned, streamlining the manufacturing process. The infotainment screen has also seen an upgrade, featuring decreased bezels for a more immersive experience. A revolutionary change in the 2024 Model 3 is the removal of traditional stalks, integrating controls into the steering wheel and touchscreen.

The sound system in the premium long-range all-wheel-drive variants now includes 17 speakers, enhancing the audio experience for passengers. Additionally, the trunk design has been refined, featuring a softer close mechanism and additional storage options.

Tesla Tom also mentioned an upcoming test drive, which is expected to provide further insights into the driving experience and additional features of the 2024 Tesla Model 3.

Earlier today, Tesla also confirmed to media that a Model 3 Performance will be forthcoming as well, proving previous rumors were indeed correct.
