Cybertruck Towing Capacity, Payload Limits Confirmed by Tesla
Tesla has put up an ad as part of a sandwich board outside its San Diego showroom where the Cybertruck is currently on display.
According to the ad, the Cybertruck is “designed to be the world’s toughest truck.” Tesla then states some specs of the electric truck, which is set to be fully unveiled on November 30, alongside first deliveries:
- Ultra-hard stainless-steel exoskeleton
- Shatter-resistant glass
- Ultra-tough Sheet-Molded Compound (SMC) bed, up to 2,500 lb. payload (website says up to 3,500 pounds)
- Adaptive air suspension with on-road and off-road drive modes
- 11,000 lbs of towing power (website still says ‘over 14,000 lbs’)
Interestingly enough, Tesla’s website has higher numbers than what’s stated in the ad by the company for Cybertruck. Of course, these specs may always change depending on the model. We still don’t know the range of the Cybertruck, but expect that to be revealed soon.
