Tesla announced today that owning one of its electric vehicles is “more affordable than ever,” citing various state incentives in the United States and Canada. The company emphasized that these state incentives are in addition to federal tax credits available in both countries.
Top US State Incentives:
Maine: $7,500
Colorado: $5,000
Vermont: $5,000
Connecticut: $4,250
Illinois: $4,000
New Jersey: $4,000
Massachusetts: $3,500
Maryland: $3,000
Delaware: $2,500
New York: $2,000
Pennsylvania: $2,000
In the United States, these state incentives come on top of a federal tax credit of up to $7,500.
You can also find some top provincial incentives for Canada below, which are on top of the federal government’s iZEV rebate of $5,000 CAD, applicable to Model 3 and Model Y.
