Tesla Cybertruck Shipments Projected to Start by Year-End: Analyst

According to a recent survey by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Tesla’s Cybertruck is expected to start shipping by the end of this year at the earliest.

Kuo’s estimates for Cybertruck shipments in the years 2023, 2024, and 2025 are 100-200, 100,000-120,000, and 240,000-260,000 units, respectively.

The analyst is well-known for his previous accurate predictions of Apple’s product pipeline, based on his supply chain sources. Now it appears Kuo is wading into Tesla’s Cybertruck, according to his note on Monday.

The Cybertruck’s innovative designs, such as aerodynamic efficiency, are anticipated to maintain its competitive edge until 2030, says Kuo. “It’s clear that the Cybertruck will be a significant contributor to Tesla’s revenue and profit growth for years to come,” he said. This contribution is expected to remain stable, unaffected by seasonality or economic downturns in the foreseeable future.

Before the launch of an all-new designed Cybertruck 2, which is not expected until 2030, Tesla will release versions of the original Cybertruck with upgraded or modified specifications but with an essentially unchanged form factor design, claims Kuo.

The survey indicates that the Cybertruck is poised to be a key player in Tesla’s portfolio, contributing significantly to the company’s growth in the coming years.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said a Cybertruck delivery event was slated by Q3 but that never materialized. So far we’ve seen Cybertruck being put to the best in Baja California down in Mexico.
