Giga Texas Springs Back to Life, Model Y and Cybertrucks Spotted [VIDEO]

Drone pilot Joe Tegtmeyer has shared a new video of Tesla’s Gigafactory Texas today. The video revealed not only the resumption of production but also several key developments within the factory. Among these were two Master Candidate Cybertrucks and Test Model Y bodies, signaling that production is ramping up.

The video also captured a gorgeous sunrise, adding a visual treat to the substantial progress being made on-site.

The northeast corner of the casting machine area is undergoing significant changes. Windows have been removed to provide a clearer view of a nearly completed new furnace installation. This furnace is designed to melt down scrap aluminum for reuse in castings, a move expected to save Tesla both time and costs.

The crash testing facility is also showing signs of imminent activity. Two Model Y vehicles, equipped with crash dummies, are positioned near the crash wall. This development is a strong indicator that crash testing is about to commence. Sources familiar with the matter suggest that final approval for Cybertruck customer delivery vehicles could be happening today.

The west End of Line (EOL) facility is expanding, with ongoing steel assembly, white fireproof painting, and slab work. A revised permit detailing the activities in this facility was also mentioned in the video. Additionally, a semi-transparent wall decking material has been installed along the top section of the walls, allowing natural light to enter and thereby reducing electrical costs.

Further developments include the Megapack site, where wiring from each Megapack to its companion transformer appears to be completed. Work on lighting poles and systems is also continuing. At the south end of the new electrical switchyard, crews are working on the second large transformer, possibly preparing it for connection to the factory.

With all these updates, including the final approval for Cybertruck customer deliveries, Gigafactory Texas is clearly gearing up for a full-scale resumption of production. Check out the full video below:
