Here’s the Cybertruck Wiper in Action at Giga Texas [VIDEO]
In the latest video from Brad Sloan, a drone flyover at Tesla’s Gigafactory in Austin, Texas, has showed more footage of the Cybertruck and also what appears to be the ‘Giga wiper’ in action for the first time, recorded on Saturday, August 26, 2023.
“We follow the cybertruck from the south end of the Gigafactory over to a charging station. Then later it gets covered up. Concrete is being poured on the west side. Workers busy at the Cathode Plant,” explains Sloan.
If you fast forward to the 5:40 mark of the video below, we see the huge single wiper on the Cybertruck—dubbed ‘Giga wiper’ in action. We also see the Cybertruck drive around the Giga Texas site and eventually reverse into a Supercharging stall.

In December 2021, Tesla CEO Elon Musk referred to the massive single wiper on the Cybertruck as “that is not the production wiper.” However, we have yet to see an alternative design. With the huge front windshield, a single wiper in a massive rainstorm may not be enough, but that remains to be seen.
Last week, Musk teased a ‘production candidate’ of the Cybertruck–that had the single massive wiper still. The Tesla app also recently added an award for redemption to attend the Cybertruck delivery event, expected in Q3, but so far no date has been confirmed.
