Tesla has announced a new ownership loyalty benefit for current Model S and Model X owners with active unlimited free Supercharging. The perk appears to be an attempt to make legacy owners with rare unlimited free Supercharging to give it up.
Eligible owners can now enjoy six years of unlimited Supercharging when trading in their vehicle or removing unlimited Supercharging from their current vehicle and taking delivery of a new Model S or Model X by June 30, 2023.
To check eligibility for unlimited free Supercharging, owners can open the Tesla app and tap ‘Specs and Warranty.’
However, it is important to note that by participating in this program, owners will no longer have access to unlimited free Supercharging on their new Tesla.
The offer is exclusively for Model S and Model X purchases, and does not extend to new Model 3 or Model Y vehicles.
To remove unlimited Supercharging from a current vehicle, Tesla will provide a document to be signed and returned with more details. The program is subject to change or termination without prior notice.
