Rivian R1T Review After One Year: Sandy and Sue Munro [VIDEO]
Sandy Munro and his wife Sue shared a video on Monday detailing their experiences with the Rivian R1T, after owning the electric pickup for almost a whole year.
Sue says she loves the truck and that it handles Michigan winters well from a handling perspective using its snow-driving mode.
Sandy says the truck is great for use around the house, though he adds that the Ford F-150 Lightning is still his favorite electric truck — despite calling the R1T “pretty damn good.”
In recent months, Rivian’s R1T was named a Top Safety Pick Plus by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS).
Sandy also discussed the R1T with Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe just before getting the electric pickup last year, even taking the vehicle on a drive and saying good things about how it drove.
Both Sandy and Sue point out a few things that could be better on the R1T, including the fact that other trucks may be more suitable for heavy-duty hauling. Additionally, elements of the interior could be improved, including the passenger- and driver-side door scalps which Sue says aren’t quite up to par with the rest of the vehicle’s indoor space.
