2023 Lexus RZ 450e EV Pricing from $59,650

Lexus’ 2023 RZ 450e SUV, unveiled in April 2022 as the Toyota-owned luxury car brand’s first electric vehicle (EV), is now available to pre-order. The all-electric SUV starts at $59,650 USD, with sales beginning in early 2023.

Lexus built the RZ 450e on the same platform as Toyota’s bZ4X (here’s to hoping it doesn’t share the bZ4X’s affinity for shedding wheels) and the Subaru Solterra, adding its own signature touch of luxury both inside and out.

The 2023 RZ 450e is available in two variants — the base “Premium” trim, and a higher-end “Luxury” trim. Pricing for both trims is as follows:

  • Premium (18-inch wheels): $59,650
  • Premium (20-inch wheels): $60,890
  • Luxury: $65,150

All prices include a $1,150 destination fee.

Both trims come standard with dark gray 18-inch alloy wheels, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated and ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.

With the Premium trim, customers can choose to add 20-inch wheels, a front knee heater, and a Technology Package comprising a 10-inch heads-up display, Lexus Digital Key, and SmartAccess Key, along with hands-free perpendicular and parallel parking.

Optional add-ons for the Luxury trim include gunmetal 20-inch wheels and a dimming panoramic glass roof. A digital rearview mirror, illuminated front badge, and a Cold Weather Package that includes headlamp washers and a windshield wiper de-icer are available for both variants.

The 2023 Lexus RZ 450e features a dual-motor setup capable of outputting 312 horsepower, complemented by a 71.4 kWh battery pack that allows for a company-estimated range of 220 miles with 18-inch wheels and 196 miles with 20-inch wheels. It’s no slouch either, accelerating from 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds.

Toyota and Lexus plan to spend $70 billion to electrify their entire product portfolios, and the RZ 450e is one chapter in that journey.
