@SpaceX’s Starlink internet is being celebrated by video game personality @Hiper for providing high-speed internet during a streaming event at Spain’s Castillo de Almodovar castle.

The event oversaw Hiper streaming Fortnite alongside other video game personalities for long periods of time, all located at the Almodovar, Cordoba castle in Spain.

In a tweet translated from Spanish about the event thanking SpaceX, Hiper wrote, “I don’t forget the technical team that spent 3 days working to make sure everything went well, and @SpaceXStarlink for an internet connection working perfectly in a damn castle.”

SpaceX also responded to the tweet, saying “The @SpaceX team Starlink was happy to support,” as translated from Spanish. Images shared show six Starlink dishes set atop the castle on temporary tables.

Additionally, SpaceX noted that the Fortnite streaming event included over 100 hours of gameplay and over 50 hours of streaming using Starlink at the Spanish castle.

In recent weeks, the low-Earth orbit satellite internet service has been praised by those in extra remote locations, such as those at the North and South poles. Additionally, Starlink service has reached the incredibly remote islands Easter Island and Pitcairn Island.

Starlink launched in Spain in January, for which the Spanish government has added a monthly 9 Euro ($10 USD) regulatory fee in addition to hardware and service costs.
