Drag Race: $3.6 Million Bugatti Chiron vs. Tesla Model S Plaid [VIDEO]
Tesla’s Model S Plaid is an incredible high-performance car that comes at an ‘affordable’ price, especially compared to some of the world’s fastest and most expensive luxury vehicles.
In a new video from Drag Times shared last week, the crew performed a few drag races between a Bugatti Chiron, a LaFerrari, a McLaren P1 and a Tesla Model S Plaid.
Host Brooks Weisblat met up with Jimmy, Jason, BDD and Jeremy as well as the Triple F at the brand-new Triple F Raceway drag strip just outside of Columbus, Ohio.
One Triple F crewmember noted that this is the first time Triple F has performed this test with the McLaren P1 on an actual prepped track.
The Bugatti Chiron has a shelf price starting at $3.6 million and the LaFerrari starts at a price of about $1.4 million, while the McLaren P1 had an initial base price of $1.15 million when it was released.
In contrast, the base-level for the Tesla Model S Plaid ranges from $94,090-$125,090, depending on which trim you select.
The video shows the Model S Plaid putting up more than just a fight, which shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise with it bearing the lowest drag coefficient of any production vehicle today.
