2023 GMC Hummer EV Reservations Surpass 90,000, Says Company
Since GMC’s Hummer EV reviews started hitting the internet in the spring, the automaker has garnered an impressive amount of reservations, and the company’s head says most customers are completing their sales, too.
GMC has surpassed 90,000 reservations for the GMC Hummer EV, according to Marketing Director Rich Latek who shared the figure at the Detroit Auto Show (via Auto Blog).
While the 90,000 reservations are significant on their own, Latek also added that people are following through on their reservations, which can also be canceled without penalty. Latek said 90 percent of reservation holders have converted them into purchases, including those for higher-tier trim options.

The currently referenced reservations are made up of both pickup and SUV customers, and Latek said that each of the past few quarters has seen more reserved units than the quarter before.
The news comes amidst a continued rollout of the Hummer EV, with the SUV version expected to head to production in Q1 2023.
The pickup’s top-tier EV3X trim is set to enter production this fall, while the EV2X is set for production next spring, before the base-level EV2 hits market in spring 2024.
In March, Hummer EV reservations surpassed 65,000, causing GMC to increase production on the vehicle.
