Tesla Should Credit Owners $100 for Last-Minute Appointment Changes, Says Musk

Tesla CEO Elon Musk is all about making the company’s cars and practices the best they can be for customers, as shown in a recent Twitter response.

@Musk thinks owners should be credited $100 for appointment changes with less than 24 hours notice, as detailed in a tweet on Thursday.

The note came in response to a photo from @Austin Hinson, who noted that it was unfair for Tesla to charge him $100 to change an appointment in 24 hours, when an appointment that had been scheduled for two weeks needed to be changed within 24 hours on the service center’s end.

“Hello Austin. We were hoping to receive all parts prior to your appointment but there was a delay with the order and my parts team has just informed me we will not have the parts in time for your appointment,” reads a message from Tesla service in Hinson’s screenshot.

Musk went on to say Hinson was right, and that “we should credit Tesla owners $100 if we change appointments with less than 24 hours notice. Should be reciprocal.

In addition, Musk responded later in the thread saying he was personally working on making Tesla service better, adding that the effects were “hopefully” being felt by owners.
