BYD Coming to Denmark with First Copenhagen Store in Q4

Warren Buffet-backed automaker BYD is rapidly expanding into Europe, most recently heading to Denmark with a new store coming later this year.

BYD is set to expand into Denmark this year, with plans to open its first store in Copenhagen by Q4, according to a report from Car News China.

The Danish BYD website is set to become operational by the end of August, and General Manager and Director for BYD Europe Michael Shu noted the company’s hopes to increase electrification in Europe.

In a stattement, Shu said, “Customer service and product satisfaction is always our priority, and BYD values local partnerships to give customers high levels of localized sales and service support.” Shu continued, “I do believe that with a combination of BYD’s cutting-edge technology and Nic. Christiansen Group’s local knowledge and experience, we will achieve our shared vision of accelerating electrification in Denmark.”

The news comes as BYD also expands into Thailand, Australia, Israel and Singapore, after establishing itself in Sweden, Germany and Japan.

BYD will work with Nic Christiansen Group, a well-known dealer in Denmark that has dealerships across the country. These dealerships are set to give BYD customers sales, service and online resources for buyers.

In addition to selling its own cars, BYD is now supplying European Tesla Model Y units with its blade battery.
