NIO is set to open its first “NIO House” showroom in the Netherlands on March 23, according to a recent statement from the company’s general manager on its mobile app (via CnEVPost).

The NIO House will be located in Rotterdam, the Netherlands’ second-largest city and a crucial port connection between several major regions of the world. More specifically, the NIO House will be built in the Rotterdam Centrum area of the city.

NIO Houses are the larger of the automaker’s two main showroom styles, with the smaller being called “Spaces” by the company and offering fewer features than Houses.

In addition to displaying different models, NIO Houses typically include a separate section showing off functions of the automaker’s electric vehicles (EVs) and general lifestyle appeal to the brand as a whole.

The company also has a NIO House in Norway, which was the automaker’s first European location for the concept. A few months ago, a NIO Space also opened in Sweden.

The announcement comes just a few days after NIO shared plans to open its first 3rd-gen battery swap stations later this month. Additionally, the news comes just a month after NIO announced plans to build 1,000 new battery swap stations in China in 2023.
