Polestar 6 Roadster Reservations Launch Ahead of 2026 Debut
After Polestar unveiled a convertible electric roadster concept earlier this year, the automaker has revealed plans a name and plans for production.
In a press release, Polestar said it plans to have the roadster concept enter production in 2026 as the Polestar 6. The vehicle is now available for reservations online, and the company plans to launch the Polestar 6 in 2026. It’s unclear if the company will be able to meet its production schedule.
Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath said, “With the overwhelming consumer and press response, we took the decision to put this stunning roadster into production and I am so excited to make it a reality.” Ingenlath continued, “Polestar 6 is a perfect combination of powerful electric performance and the thrill of fresh air with the top down.”

The electric vehicle (EV) is set to be a convertible and includes a built-in drone that can follow the vehicle while driving.
The Polestar 6 is expected to feature an 800-volt architecture with outputs of up to 650 kW and 900 Nm from the dual-motor powertrain. It’s also expected to have a sprint speed accelerating to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
The Polestar 3 SUV is set to hit markets in October, as per an announcement from the company made via a press release in June.
