Tesla Q2 2022 Deliveries: 254,695 Vehicles

Tesla on Saturday morning announced production and delivery numbers for Q2 2022. The electric vehicle (EV) maker produced 258,580 cars and delivered a total of 254,695 units across the globe.
“In the second quarter, we produced over 258,000 vehicles and delivered over 254,000 vehicles, despite ongoing supply chain challenges and factory shutdowns beyond our control,” the company said in a press release.
Tesla added that June 2022 was the highest production month in the company’s history. Not surprising, given Tesla’s Fremont factory hit a daily production record during the month and both of the company’s new Gigafactories in Austin, Texas, and Berlin, Germany achieved production numbers in the thousands of units per week for the first time.
Tesla produced 242,169 Model 3/Y units and 16,411 Model S/X units. The company delivered 238,533 Model 3/Y vehicles and 16,162 Model S/X vehicles.

The company really turned up the heat for its signature end-of-quarter push this time around, with even top executives taking part in deliveries.
As for year-over-year growth, Tesla delivered 206,421 vehicles during Q2 2021, making for a 23.4% increase in deliveries from last year.
“Unique quarter for sure due to shutdowns,” Martin Viecha, Senior Director of Investor Relations at Tesla, said on Twitter after the numbers came out.
