Tesla Mobile App Now Lets Owners Accept Loaner Cars During Warranty Repairs

Tesla has added a new option to its mobile app that will allow users to accept loaner vehicles directly from the app when their own cars have been sent to a service center for under-warranty repairs, as seen in screenshots shared by an owner in Germany (via @tesla_adri).

Tesla has a new option in the Tesla app when your car is in for service under warranty.
You can now accept a loaner car offer via the app. You'll see details for the car (color, VIN, odometer) and gain app access (phone key).

Tesla offers a loaner vehicle to customers when they send in a car covered by the electric vehicle (EV) maker’s base warranty for repairs and are quoted a pickup time of more than four hours for their vehicle.
When accepting a loaner car via the Tesla app, users will be served with a replacement vehicle agreement containing pertinent details, including the model, VIN, and odometer reading of the car being offered to them.
Take a look at an English translation of the loaner vehicle agreement Tesla app users will now see below:

Accepting a loaner vehicle directly through the Tesla mobile app will also give users immediate access to the replacement car by registering a phone key for it on their smartphone.
According to a report from earlier this week, Tesla is replacing blind spot cameras for some customers entirely free of charge under its base vehicle warranty.
