
Tesla provided an update on Cybertruck during its Q1 2022 earnings call.
According to CEO Elon Musk, after revealing a new dedicated robotaxi would be coming with no steering wheel or pedals, he added the company was “on track to reach volume production of Cybertruck in 2023.”
Tesla says the simplicity of the Cybertruck structure is advantageous versus a traditional truck, as it will have 20-30% fewer parts.
Back in October, Tesla said it would start production this year, and begin volume production in 2023. Today’s update says Cybertruck mass production remains on track.
