Tesla says it again needs help from customers in fighting an Oklahoma bill proposal. After Tesla was able to successfully stop HB 3994, the company says the “same language” has now resurfaced in another bill.

The company emailed owners today again asking them for help (via @SawyerMerritt).

“Last month, we informed you about HB 3994, a detrimental bill proposed in the Oklahoma State Legislature. With your help, we were successful in stopping HB 3994, but unfortunately, most of that same language has been amended onto another bill,” explains Tesla.

“Senate Bill 512 is new legislation that passed out of committee last week and will now go before the full House of Representatives for a vote,” writes the electric automaker.

“Just like HB 3994, SB 512 could be interpreted as forcing Tesla to close our service center and gallery locations in Oklahoma, as well as prohibiting Tesla from offering over the air software updates to your vehicle. Tesla locations bring jobs and revenue to the state while serving the needs of our current and future Oklahoma vehicle owners,” says Tesla.

“Tell your State Representative that you oppose SB 512. Let them know that residents of Oklahoma deserve to have their EVs serviced within their home state,” concludes the Tesla Policy Team.
