Tesla’s Giga Texas Factory Has Blue Model Y SUVs Spotted on Site [VIDEO]
According to a new photo shared today by drone pilot Jeff Roberts, a row of blue Tesla Model Y compact crossover SUVs were seen at Gigafactory Texas.
These vehicles appear to be Long Range versions of the Model Y, as they are showing 19-inch Gemini wheels and their signature aero covers. There are also some black Model Y vehicles parked alongside the blue versions, also sporting Gemini wheels.

It’s unclear if these Model Y vehicles rolled out of the factory at Giga Texas, or were transported to the site. It’s also unclear if these contain new 4680 structural battery packs, which were recently mentioned in the company’s Model Y manuals.
Rumours have claimed Model Y production at Giga Texas will start with Performance versions in colours black and white.
Roberts has yet to share his drone footage from the Giga Texas site for January 17, 2021, but we’ll update this post accordingly.
Update: the video is out–check it below at about the 8:50 mark to see the Model Ys parked:
