New Maps rolling out soon: USA: NA-2021.44-13555 China: CN-2021.44-13668
The North America maps update is version “NA-2021.44-13555” according to @greentheonly and for China, version “CN-2021.44-13668”. These maps updates download to vehicles automatically. Maps in Tesla vehicles are currently based on Google Maps.
“As updated maps become available, they are automatically sent” to your vehicle over Wi-Fi, says Tesla. Owners should periodically connect their cars to a Wi-Fi network, says Tesla, noting your touchscreen will show a message letting you know when new maps are installed.
According to Chris Zheng (@zxk9523), cars in China received the maps update “at the end of 2021”.
