Earlier this week, Lucid Motors confirmed the first Lucid Air deliveries for October 30 at a special “Lucid Owners Club rally” in California.

On Saturday, the first 65 production units of the Lucid Air Dream Edition were handed off to the electric vehicle (EV) startup’s earliest customers, as well as company insiders like Chief Engineer Eric Bach.

“Lucid Air has arrived,” said the company in a tweet.

The Dream Edition went into production late last month, and is the first of the company’s Lucid Air variants to make it off the assembly line.

The luxury EV carries a sticker price that starts at $161,500 USD, but you can’t even order one anymore — it was only available to pre-order for a limited time, and Lucid will only be making 520 of them in total.

The Lucid Air has already garnered some glowing reviews, with automotive publication Road & Track saying it “should make Tesla sweat.”

“This is a big day. We always said until we’ve handed cars to customers, we haven’t achieved a damn thing,” said Lucid Motors CEO Peter Rawlinson at the event, which oozed prestige and fulfillment.

Lucid Motors got a shout-out from fellow EV maker Polestar on its achievement in delivering its first vehicles.

The Lucid Air Dream Edition comes with DreamDrive, Lucid’s own advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), which they unveiled earlier this month.
