“Wow, lot of interest in FSD beta! Plan is to roll out version 10.2 midnight Friday, then on-ramp ~1000 owners/day, prioritized by safety rating,” said Musk on Monday evening.

Tesla released FSD beta 10.1 (software update 2021.24.17) back on September 25, 2021, for its private testers.
Alongside the release was software update 2021.32.22, which introduced the ‘beta request button’ for regular owners that have paid for FSD to be considered for the beta release.
In order to be considered for FSD beta, owners will see their driving experiences and habits judged, in what Tesla calls its Safety Score, from a scale of 0 to 100. Musk has now revealed what Safety Score is needed to get access to FSD beta.
When asked what the minimum Safety Score would be required to get FSD beta by @BLKMDL3, Musk said “first few days probably 100/100, then 99, 98, etc.” In other words, you’ll need to be a perfect driver to get FSD beta in the beginning. So it sounds like the initial roll out to regular FSD owners will be quite limited.

Tesla has long stated its slow and calculated approach to testing FSD beta. Its current fleet of private testers numbers in the 2,000 range and Musk has clearly stated none of them have been involved in accidents while testing the software.

What’s your Tesla Safety Score right now? Are you driving like a snail to maintain a perfect score?
