Tesla Full-Self Driving (Beta) Shirts May Soon Be Available for Purchase [PIC]

With Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta reportedly less than four weeks out from a public release date, many Tesla owners are getting excited – and maybe overly-so – at the prospect of an upcoming public release for the software.

A deleted tweet from @ATTIKA on Thursday showed a FSD beta shirt, which caused many users to wonder if the company was preparing for a full release of the system sooner than the company’s initial announcements.

The tweet’s caption read, “A good milestone for checking whether your product is ready to launch is whenever the team is willing to wear said product as a t-shirt,” while depicting a photo with the team wearing said shirt, which you can see below:

“Unfortunately, we had this specific design custom made for AP Engineering but will likely have new additions to the shop eventually well,” said @ATTIKA later in a reply.

After the tweet was deleted, @ATTIKA followed up with a tweet that said “read elon tweets, not t-shirts,” then shared screenshots to statements from @Elon Musk on Thursday saying “FSD beta 10 rolls out midnight Friday next week.”

Further down in the thread, Musk also said that FSD beta 10.1, which is set for two weeks after the release of beta 10, looks “promising” in terms of the ability to have a public opt-in request button, signaling a move to a more widespread release of the semi-autonomous driving system.

The news also comes amidst a major U.S. regulator probe into Tesla’s Autopilot driver assistance system, which has been involved in a strange string of accidents with emergency response vehicles parked on the sides of highways.
