Musk also later added, “looks promising that Beta 10.1, about 2 weeks later, will be good enough for public opt in request button,” suggesting FSD beta will launch later this month.

Last month, Musk said FSD beta 9.2 was “not great”, citing improvements were coming. Musk said last week Tesla would skip its point release and jump straight to FSD beta 10, which would have “significant architecture changes.”
We should be there with Beta 10, which goes out a week from Friday (no point release this week).
It will have a completely retrained NN, so will need another few weeks after that for tuning & bug fixes. Best guess is public beta button in ~4 weeks.

Tesla owners who paid for FSD are still waiting for the beta to expand, with Musk saying back on August 25 the new ‘public beta button’ would debut in roughly 4 weeks or so.
